Since years, vane pumps are applied in engine lubrication. Efficiency of vane pumps is a big part of the total engine efficiency and the prediction of performance decay is a major concern.
This thesis focuses on modeling and validation of wear estimation for vane pumps in order to predict end of life efficiency. The study will include an analytical model able to understand the hydraulic pump behavior and the movement and the stress of the internal components of the pump (performed using Amesim and multibody included in the software). The procedure involves also the definition of high-accelerated tests based on load collective in order to verify the model and design robustness.
Education: Thesis student in Mechatronics, Mechanic or Electronics Engineering;
Experience and Know How: Academic knowledge;
Technical knowledge: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
Personality: goal-orientation, team working, proactivity, problem solving and analytical ability, willingness to take responsibilities;
Language skills: Fluent English, German will be a plus;
Interests: Desire to growth within a complex manufacturing organization open to an international environment.
