Design of gear oil pumps involves the detailed analysis of pump core internal forces. Undesired internal forces often lead to a not perfect noise emission and lifetime. The aim of this thesis is to study the various parameter affecting the internal pressures applied to gears during the operations of the pump. The reserach will include an analytical study (performed using Amesim) of the pressures and a validation on test bench. A test procedure has to be developed in order to validate the model. Once the analytical model is validated, a simulation tool must be developed using excel in order to provide a tool for pre-design phase of mechanical oil pumps.
